Digital Signage Case Study: Communicating with visitors using a reception screen

    By Sabercom | 29.05.13

    The Client

With 300 centres in 70 countries, New Horizons Computer Learning Centre is the largest independent IT Training Provider in the world, delivering more courses than any other IT training company.

In 2012 New Horizons celebrated delivering 30 years of computer training to over 30 million students worldwide. It also saw the re-launch of New Horizons London, overlooking London’s Olympic Village. As part as the new Tech City initiative, New Horizons London’s flagship learning centre houses state of the art training facilities.

    The Challenge

The new London office is open 7 days a week and expects to see over 200 Learners a week. There is a constant influx of new Learners so New Horizons need to be able to communicate essential house keeping information and direct Learners to their training rooms each day.

    The Solution

Sabercom worked closely with the marketing and IT teams to specify and provide a 3 screen digital signage system for the new office. Two screens in their reception area, for welcoming visitors and one in the canteen used to display course information to students. A mixture of images, time tables, video and RSS feeds ensure that anyone visiting the centre is kept up to date. The system can easily be used to broadcast room alterations and list different certifications and courses available.

The content on screen can be changed via Sabercom’s easy to use web management interface and any new media added is automatically pushed out to the screens or can be scheduled for a later date or time.

    Customer Testimonial

“Sabercom’s new and innovative technologies were the perfect choice for the re-design of New Horizons London’s new state-of-the-art computer training centre. Our Sabercom system allows us to easily and instantaneously display up-to-the-minute news and information about all our courses and certifications to the high amount of customers that come into our centre…”
