The Client

Our client is responsible for maintaining standards, improving confidence and distributing information about qualifications and examinations. Ofqual regulate general and vocational qualifications in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.

Ofqual give formal recognition to bodies and organisations that deliver qualifications and assessments. They also accredit their awards and monitor their activities.

The Challenge

Ofqual, reporting to parliament, became the independent regulator of qualifications, examinations and assessments in April 2010. This meant moving into a new building in Coventry with a mix of employees from different locations around the country, and working together under one roof. Ofqual’s challenge was to effectively communicate the new independent organisations mission statement and operational objectives to the relocated team.

The Solution

Sabercom Corporate Screensaver

Sabercom worked closely with Ofqual to specify and install the Sabercom corporate screen saver solution. Sabercom’s screensaver allows communication managers to drive communication campaigns and corporate information directly to the desktops of employees.

The screensaver works in the same way as any ordinary screensaver with the exception that information is taken directly from Sabercom’s easy to use screensaver designer tool. The contents of the screensaver can easily be updated from one central location and information can be scheduled for certain times of day or days of the week.

The Sabercom system has proven to be one of the most important communication channels for Ofqual. Sabercom’s on-going relationship ensures that the solution is constantly evolving to meet their requirements.

Two years on the screensavers are used as a regular source of information, including latest Ofqual news, links to specific pages on the intranet and communication messages.
